Daily Rat-ual

from $2.00

This piece was created by a long time artist who utilizes acrylic painting art as a form of self-care in-between advocacy work.

The inspiration from this piece came from a meal guest of Blanchet House who gave the artist a book on art. The artist shared that they had given up on art due to housing insecurity making it hard to maintain art supplies, but the book inspired them to start creating again, which led to picking up painting again. This piece reminds the artist of that same friend and their conversations of domesticated rats as pets and many discussions of life and mental health over cigarettes.

Image of the original work is a representation of the piece the purchaser will receive. Scale and level of detail may deviate slightly from the physical work.
