Chamisa is an illustrator who makes work for children's books, brands and animation. Her images are inspired by a love of botany, mythology and the nebulous line between reality and imagination.
Her piece in this year’s show is inspired by her work in the garden and her love of vintage fairy illustrations and stories. The garden is one of the places she feels most at home. Her parents always kept a garden wherever they lived. Tending to plants reminds her that change is necessary and important.
