Happy Stew by Maho Garner
Starting with doodles on the blank part of the first grade math book, Maho has always been doodling. If there is an odd piece of paper, she will doodle. She is a self-proclaimed “full time happy doodler”.
A big part of comfort food for Maho is the preparation. She misses removing strings from green beans with her mother. She misses her father proudly preparing his "special" egg soup. She treasures the time she cooks with her daughter. She loves seeing her husband teach their daughter how to make enchiladas. These are all part of what makes food comforting.
